The History Of Optimum
Optimum International 2000 Limited was started by John Ogden and his wife Sandie in 1996 to produce ranges of modular
hi-fi, television and audio glass stands incorporating a strong design aspect
which they had manufactured solely in the UK.
Modular systems became very sought after, due to their total flexibility as scores
of individual models can be made from a minimum number of components and these
were followed by the introduction of ranges of non-modular stands which have again
proved extremely popular. The production of both the modular and non-modular
ranges using toughened safety glass in clear, black or smokey black finishes and
a wide variety of support rod colours, in metal or real wood, gives a very versatile
approach to consumers' needs. By keeping a very close eye on the changing market
and television and hi-fi components, Optimum ensures it has models ready to cater
for all necessary requirements.
Its new pop-up style electronic hand made real wood television cabinet is new
to the UK market and Optimum appears to be leading the way in this new opportunist
area. In two sizes and colours the range is already proving extremely popular
offering a beautiful piece of furniture together with security and peace of mind
with the hidden television, when not in use. Optimum's sales team traverse the
country with Mercedes mobile showrooms complete with fitted inverters to enable
electrical presentations of these cabinets.
Optimum’s current strength is a combination of strong trade relationships, plus
the history and confidence generated by over fourteen years trading and currently
supplies over 700 retail outlets.
Refreshing new design ideas and finishes, together with new possible products
for potential launch in 2010 are at present being
discussed.
